This summer will mark the second occurrence of Summer Learning Academy. The professional development program was developed by the Instructional Technology Department and will include technology-focused sessions for both certified and classified staff. Sessions will be taught by Instructional Technology Specialists and technology staff members. Summer Learning Academy was developed to address feedback received on the 2013-14 Team Lee’s Summit survey. This feedback showed that staff members wanted more opportunity to learn about technology tools used in the district and how to integrate technology into the instruction. Attendance at these sessions is voluntary, however twelve-month employees will need to speak with their supervisor to make arrangements to attend during the workday. These sessions are being provided at no cost to employees.
